Not a Dodger fan but Lasorda was one of the great personalities in baseball. I miss the animated baseball managers of yesteryear . . . Lasorda, Weaver, Pinella, Martin.

I attended a Giants / Dodgers game back in the day at Candlestick. Giants fans' hatred for the Dodgers and Lasorda was something to behold. Before the game, Lasorda emerges from the bullpen area and heads toward the dugout. Giants fans erupt in a chorus of boos, screams, and obscenities. Lasorda slows his walk to a virtual crawl, soaks it in, and starts blowing kisses back to the fans.
