My F150 infotainment just started shutting off right when I turn off the engine with a message about preserving the

battery and that I need to start the engine to continue using it. It’s supposed to stay on until you open the door to exit. It just started doing this within the past week.

The battery is fairly new (the date in it is January 2020) and I measure about 12.5V with the engine off, so I don’t think my battery is bad.

Any ideas why it’s doing this?

Have you checked the water in your battery and cleaned your terminals?

Haven’t checked water. Terminals look great (I put some anti-corrosion stuff on when I installed the battery last year)

I would bet this is tied to the cold weather. Batteries have a tendency to run

Chances are the battery is under warranty. You could likely get a new one
