If Clemson was UCF, they could have had that success but not have been able to get to the playoffs. Then the coach leaves to go to a team that does have a way into the championship, the team can't recruit because they don't have a route to the championship, etc.

Can you see Gonzaga under Few ever being where they are now, if they had no way to make it into the Final Four?
