We can talk about how Alabama and other big brands enjoy a significant and unfair recruiting advantage (which of course they do) but what struck me last night were the comments about this 2020/2021 Alabama team's obsession and focus and dedication to winning the NC, i.e. not personal awards, not playing it safe, not future NFL careers etc..

And that was not just celebration chatter. 'Bama had quite a few marquee players like Devonta Smith, Najee Harris and others who decided to return for their senior year. You come back, among other things, you risk injury. That is commitment.

I have no problem with juniors advancing their career if that is their choice; they are young, they see the dollar signs etc.. But 'Bama and some of the above mentioned players are clearly at a whole other level of commitment. And that is where greatness begins. I hate Alabama 🙂 but WHAT A TEAM!
