So literally every person in CFB is eligible for another year. BYU has by my count 3 Jrs. and most of their Sr.'s who are going. Zach, Khyiris, and Brady are most likely the only sure things. Bushman would have been last year so will probably get picked up but a lot of others haven't. We've put a heavy emphasis with recruiting on BYU guys in the league and getting guys to the next level, but interesting to see how it contrasts to what is happening at Utah over the past 3 years. The other interesting piece is outside of Herring and Kaufusi, age isn't really a huge thing with Warner, Wilcox, Milne, Hoge and Anderson although Hoge already is getting his Masters so not a lot to stick around for school wise.
Doing something special and unfinished business seem to be something the coaches up there are preaching to keep kids around. Utah, like BYU, had 3 sure fire draft eligible guys(Kuithe, LLoyd and Ford). All 3 are coming back. They don't have a Zach Wilson type 1st rounder, but Lloyd and Kuithe are both guys with potential 2nd day draft grades who are coming back. The same thing happened with Zack Moss, Bradley Anae and Julian Blackmon a couple of years back. Most of these guys aren't coming back to improve their stock. Jaylon Johnson is pretty much their only early entry over the past few.
I'd be interested to hear from both the BYU and Utah fans on which culture you'd prefer. Obviously fun to have guys make the NFL, but also would have been fun to see more continuity from this year to next. BYU isn't the only school people are leaving from so it's not a dig on the current staff, but it does seem like Utah is pushing kids to play out eligibility which ultimately benefits the program long and short term.
