You just proved my point. $$ buys coaches, facilities, etc. Coaches and

facilities get you recruits. Recruits get you wins.

You lose your monopoly on access and money and you lose dominance over time.

Note that there is nothing other than resource dominance over the decades that makes Florida inherently different from South Florida as an institution. The resources facilitated everything else, including the wins.
