We went to see a Disney movie (I think it was Beauty and the Beast, it might have been Little Mermaid) ... it was an early date, maybe our third or fourth date.

So, we're sitting there, and this family sits nexts to us, and right next to me is a cute little 4 or 5 year old girl. She pulls on my arm, and starts telling me all kinds of stuff ... how much she loves Disney, her dolls at home, on and on. I play along (to be honest, I think she is cute and funny and kind of reminds me of little sisters a few years back). Well, as the movie goes on, this little girl gets scared and grabs my arm, and eventually, by the end of the movie, she is sitting in my lap, cheering for the grand finale!! And singing her heart out.

So, for a good portion of the movie, I have a total stranger little girl holding one hand or in my lap, and my date (soon to be HCBW) holding my other hand....

My "Date" was a little miffed that I didn't pay more attention to her .... but I think it also sort of showed I might be an OK dad too.
