I honestly don't care who starts next year and have zero visibility into qualifications beyond what the majority of us have seen in games (which is really limited). However, I cringe when people bring up JC was recruited by Alabama or Saban flew out to his house. Watching college football or the NFL draft it has become abundantly clear that high school stats, rankings and evaluations are incredible crapshoots. We'd all take under recruited Zach Wilson over all-world Ben Olsen or Jake Heaps.

This post isn't meant as a derogatory post towards Conover, but I'd value the reports that he has looked great on the scout team much more than anything thing from high school or his recruiting.
