A couple things to note:

I find it remarkable that he had 3-4 interviews with each player every year.

His comment about Coach's salaries vs. players living situation was really interesting.

Comment about the fake headset was hilarious. Truly a leader that empowered his staff.

There are many people that claim a piece of the modern passing game, but Lavell deserves a ton of credit for building an offense around it and using it as a competitive advantage, when the great coaches of his day were almost to a person completely opposite in their philosophy.

He was truly a great man.
