To’oto’lo, Jones, Nacua all transfer to BYU. We bring on Ryan Pugh as OLC (I realize my previous comment on him as a coach was ill-informed), Tuiaki realizes the bend don’t break mentality doesn’t work to truly compete on the national stage year in and year out so he kicks it into aggressive mode, Arod transforms the offense into a well oiled unstoppable passing offense with Conover at the helm. Conover starts out looking crisp vs AZ, then has a rough first half vs utah (with, you guessed it, a pick 6), but goes 15-16 in the second half to lead BYU to a 14 point win. KW resigns after the loss, joins the BYU athletics staff and negotiates for more money to go to the football team. We go on to win all but 1 game vs Baylor and Jeff Grimes, who has somehow transformed the Baylor offense into a world beater. Baylor wins the Big XII, ending the regular season ranked #5 (because they’re Baylor), and BYU, having that as their only loss, finishes 7. We get a bid to the fiesta bowl, beating some SEC team in a shootout. A new era of BYU recruits is ushered in, including multiple 4* guys each year, and the occasional 5*, maybe once every three years. A national championship becomes imminent, and the P5, not wanting to lose out on the money, realizes they have to bring us in. We join the Big XII in all sports, which improves our basketball situation even more. We get to the playoff in our 2nd year in the league, beating Utah to the table. 5 years in, we win the Natty, beating Nick Saban in his final game coaching. The wave of success lasts for 30 years before Kalani decides to step down, and BYU hires someone new. In Kalani’s HOF speech, he touches on not only the national titles, but the losses as well, of which he suffered 10 in his final 30 years. He gives a quick thank you to me, who at one point posted “fire kalani” on Instagram (2017), for being his motivation. I get taken out in cuffs for insurrection, but it’s all been worth it. BYU is the premier name of CFB, and the stretch Y is on every minivan in Utah.
