First, RIP Teft, that was brutal and sad. I didn't see that coming. I was sure Kal would come swooping in at the last minute. At first I was upset, but then I appreciated that in these books, people can die and stay dead. It makes the threat and drama more gripping. How much more interesting would the end of Rise of Skywalker felt if Chewy really died at Ray's hand?
It's about freaking time Kal spoke the 4th ideal! Sheesh! I love the real take on how his depression affects him and never really goes away though. Depression is episodic and can be very debilitating. Sanderson nails the mental health issues so well in this series and this book was awesome in how it dealt with mental treatment in hospitals.
I just wish we got to see apex Kal in combat. He got his plate and then the battle was over.
What do you all make of the epilogue? What memories were taken from Good?
How long before Maya fully resurrects and Adolin speaks some ideals?
