Photos can have a metadata field (in the EXIF data) that tells you to rotate them. CougarBoard strips EXIF data during processing (so your location and other personal information isn't part of the image). It's supposed to make sure that the rotation is fixed, but there must be a case where it doesn't handle it correctly.
