had to be amputated. Seeing how self-sufficient he is and frankly, how mobile, made me decide that if I ever lost the use of my legs, I would just have them amputated too - they're just dead weight otherwise IMO.

Maybe that is a good idea sometimes but life as an amputee has its own sets of problems that people don’t think of.
