They are all various strains of Cornavirus .... and at some point one is just different enough from the others to get it's own name.

That's kind of the question ... is this new LA strain "different" from COVID-19 and should therefore be called COVID-21 OR is it the same as COVID-19, and it's not really all that new afterall.
