One of our clients is wanting to give us a 1099 for work we did for them in 2020.
We didn't think it would be necessary because we simply invoiced them for the work we did and they cut us checks which we then logged into our books as revenue.
We didn't think that qualified us as contract employees but maybe I'm wrong.
We do have a service agreement in place with them but not a contract per se.
I'll get input from our accountant as well, but thought I'd throw it out there to the CB experts to see what you thought.
