The first tooth had a visible cavity on the top surface, but it was tiny. The X-ray showed a much bigger one on the gum line. That tooth is gonna need a root canal, crown lengthening, and a crown.
The second tooth was live with a crown, but the xray could see a cavity under it. The dentist had to cut off the crown, and then she could see (and took a picture with one of those cool tooth cameras they have now so I could see) that there was a _gigantic_ brown spot. Just absolutely horrible. Was maybe half the tooth (that was left). That one is also gonna get a root canal and a crown lengthening and a crown.
She called an endodontist before I even left the office to help me schedule the appt for the root canal, and gave me scripts for ibuprofen, percocet, and antibiotics.
RIP my dental insurance coverage max.
