It just depends how important it is to you to be completely dialed in
And what the numbers show. My buddy just paid $900 for a Titleist Tsi2 driver with a ventus velacore shaft in it (350$ upgrade) after getting fit a tru spec.

The standard shaft options didn’t do anything for him...The closest one is the regular Ventus, But the stock ventus is not what the pros use, It’s just a cheaper shaft with Ventus stamped on it, Kind a like the stock hazardous shafts, There is a reason the handcrafted hazardous shafts are $300 upgrades.

Without assistance I’ve never seen him hit a drive more than 235 yards, 220 was his norm. For years he’s been left with 200 yards into par 4’s, which obviously hurts your game. his swing speed is right around 100. since putting that driver in play He is averaging 235 to 40 and I’ve already seen in here a few drives 250+ Its been a game changer for him to hit 2-4 clubs less into greens. He plays every week and golf is his main hobby, so that’s obviously worth it to him. Some people don't need that type of upgrade and can just go budget, but many cant if they want the best results.

Obviously if you’re more of a beginner, I would start with the stock shaft best for you after being fitted.
