CB, can you help me? My grandparents passed away in 2020 (not COVID related).
They had a tradition of giving books to their grandchildren for Christmas every year, and when their children went through their belongings they found thirty-one copies of The Atoning One by Robert Millet. We received a final, special gift from our departed grandparents.
We were visiting family over Christmas, so we sent a box of books home via media mail. The box arrived yesterday 35 pounds lighter than it was sent, with only a few of our books inside. They lost about 30 books and gave us a few snacks, a box of tea, and a pair of socks, plus lots of packing material from somewhere else. Apparently it was "repackaged" in Denver. I'm hoping for a social media miracle to find the books. We can repurchase a few hundred dollars worth of books, but the copy from my grandparents is uniquely special.
I posted this on YouTube (first thing I've ever posted) in hopes that it might spread and somehow reach whoever received our gifts. We're also happy to send someone their socks and tea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5eEYYbHrbQ
