One trend that demonstrates success in the Sitake era is the number of players
getting into and sticking in the NFL. In 2005 BYU had 15 players in the league.

Between 2005 and 2013, that number dropped to 5. It had climbed to 7 in 2015.

Although the first 2 years were rough for KS in terms of getting kids drafted, there has been a nice uptick from 2017 through now. BYU currently has 10 players in the league and a few practice squad guys. I suspect that 1 or maybe 2 of the current players may retire. But BYU should add 5ish players this year. Next year should be the highest number of BYU NFL players who went since 2002.

BYU needs to continue this trend. For all the amenities that schools offer, nothing speaks louder to potential recruits than a proven record of developing players for the NFL. This is something that KS has done and hopefully can continue to do.
