Question about weight loss and strength/resistance training
I've been on a weight loss journey, fueled by watching my diet (calories in) and cardio exercise. I am pretty focused on my weight and get nervous with what would probably be normal fluctuation. I guess I'm just nervous about undoing all of the good work I've done over the past 16+ months. Recently, I have started to incorporate weight and resistance training into my exercise routine, and I have noticed a slight weight increase over the past little while. Could be normal fluctuation, could be my diet isn't as good, could be lots of things. But I'm curious if all other things being equal, would weight/resistance training lead to weight gain? I'm no expert, but if there's associated weight gain, then maybe I need to decide if I want to continue down this path or if I want to stick strictly to cardio.
