I think the basketball committee is usually reasonable. Could argue an at large spot or two, but not much beyond that. An easier job too because you don't leave out 97% of the teams in the tournament in basketball.

You can't say the same about the CFP committee. Completely different ballgame with those folks. A lot more money on the line with football and that is probably the difference.
