know is I finally gave up and bought a TP-Link router, plugged it in and, voila, has worked like a charm after the 5 minute setup. The weird thing is I have a Netgear modem too. I figured if I had a Netgear modem and router I wouldn't have any issues. Boy, was I wrong.
