it did remind me of a really good pageant movie. Drop Dead Gorgeous is a hilarious, and very well made mocumentary. It's got some big names too (some before they were big - this was Amy Adams first movie). Anyway, if you're looking for a funny movie and get the urge to watch Dumplin' - don't. Watch Drop Dead Gorgeous instead.
