Does # matching really matter on a 6-cylinder? Serious question.
I know if I found a car like that I'd probably very quickly swap in something like a 408W/TKX and some decent brakes.

My dad bought a “barn find” ‘65 Mustang. 6-cylinder. Only 35,000 miles on it.

Very exciting! Most likely it is a #'s matching car. Keep it and no restoration.

Certain collectors require car to the un-restored and have matching numbers.

I'm also a Camaro/Firebird guy, and that Mustang is amazing. You don't pass that up.
