I'd guess not, my wife likes her beef more rare than I, and I always cook
chicken longer too. Also, she likes raw fish which I hate.

So I suggested to my wife that we start a tradition of a prime rib dinner

Sorry to hear about your upcoming divorce.

ham sucks. Turkey is the superior holiday dinner food.

Ham is superior in every way. Especially the way most people cook turkey. Nothing like eating the Sahara Desert. Yum.

I'll give you that turkey has a wider range of either being perfect or being awful. But even a meh turkey is better

Turkey and ham are both suboptimal choices and are basically sandwich meat

Last couple of years, we've gotten a smoked turkey breast from a Texas BBQ place

Buy two. Cook one for Prime Rib fans and the other for people without tastebuds

Better yet, just buy a ham for the people without tastebuds.

Is it a woman thing? I’m the same way. 🤣

You want dry, overcooked prime rib? Why?
LiveCoug
Feb 22, 9:16am
I have a hard time eating meat that, in my mind, isn’t fully cooked. I am mocked

What if your mind is incredibly wrong? 🙂

It could be, but I’m good with it! 😃

Don't be good with mediocre/awful. Change your mindset and enjoy good food

Your point is actually correct

Cook one roast beef and one prime rib. Problem solved

Tell her it is pink inside because it is actually a ham prime rib.

I just tell people the pink is just because of the smoke. They always buy it

Don't roll your eyes or mock; you're half way there

This suggestion is either genius, playing dirty, or mind control

We did a prime rib some years ago. Kids didn't love it for that reason. So we moved on to rib eye. It stuck.

That's the same meat, just prepared differently . . .

My wife is the same. Thankfully, smoked meats and sous vide lack pink.

How does sous vide lack pink? It's the opposite.
JuicyJam
Feb 22, 9:36am
Well, of course you can use a sous vide to cook something until its not pink
Tricky
Feb 22, 9:53am
Ya not sure why one would bother sous vide to medium. Just grill it if that’s
kotacoug

Not if you leave it to cook long enough. That may also be from marinade.

IDK about marinades. But in general if the steak isn't pink it's overcooked.

Cook one the right way, and then have a searing station for those who
