Are dog people getting out-of-hand? Are these type of owners now more prevalent?
I recently heard someone's tear-filled testimony about their love for their dog in sacrament meeting. A co-worker recently explained to me over lunch how there should be tax credits for dogs like for children. He and his wife are both professionals with no kids but two dogs. They also take their dogs to doggy daycare everyday because leaving them at home while they're at work is inhumane. I have a relative whose dog has a place at the dinner table each night. I'm pretty sure that in the future there will be laws giving dogs rights/privileges as though they're people.

I really don't get it. I love animals, but I have a hard time understanding the "fur baby" concept.
