It's highly unlikely that much if any time and resources were spent on this offer. Even if it's a total shot in the dark, BYU does have a personal connection who can talk up BYU. After the NFL draft, Tejan can point to Brady Christensen and say that BYU can get you drafted into the NFL.

BTW - A lot of kids remember who offered them and like those schools more going forward even if they pick a different school. You never know about transfers if it doesn't work out at the original school.
