My wife had this brutal 6 hour shoulder surgery a few weeks ago. The surgeon’s office billed it out at 28,000, and then our insurance got ahold of it and reduced it to 2,700, paid 1700 out and we get to pay 1000 copay.

With all his overhead I don’t see how you can make an office work with the insurance companies cutting your fees like that. Am I missing something?
