I've definitely believed that we way over reacted this while time.

After the events of today, I'm even more ticked off.

We're planning a trip to Hawaii to see my parents who are on a mission there before we move to Alaska. Were supposed to list our house here in Albuquerque on Sunday and we're already under contract on a home in Alaksa. So, there's a lot going on in our lives at the moment.

Supposed to leave for Hawaii at 6 am tomorrow, layover in L.A., and then leave there at 8:10 am on to Hawaii. Problem is, our covid tests from walgreens were recorded at 9:00 am instead of 9:15 am (so that puts us at 72 hours 10 minutes instead of 71 hours 55 minutes) before our departure from L.A. tomorrow morning. Called the state of Hawaii and they told me there is no guarantee that we won't have to quarantine 10 days on arrival because our results are outside the 72 hour window.

Tried moving my flight up with delta to today, but the only other flight left in 3 hours and we just couldn't make it. Am thinking of canceling my flight, getting new covid tests and leaving in a few days. Delta gives me an estimated wait time of 2 hours 46 minutes to talk to a representative.

At the end of it all, I just have to remind myself that it's not the end of the world, or anywhere near that for us. Worst case scenario, we're out a few thousand bucks and a visit to my parents.
