1. About a year or so ago, Israel announce they had found the cure for all cancers. They also said this cure would act as an immunization for all future cancers. They said it would take a year or so to containerize it and then they would begin to share it with all the world. I haven't seen a word about it since (and not from lack of trying).

2. About a year ago I remember seeing an article that scientists had finally unlocked how to write to q-bits thus making the quantum processor a near future technology. It has been theorized over the years that when the quantum processor was finally made real a single one would have the processing power of every processor every made times every processor ever planned to be made and still dwarf them all. Can't wait to see this when it becomes a reality.

3. Aging. I remember reading a study done by a Utah professor/doctor that he had made the breakthrough into reversing aging. He explained that we age because our cells basically stop communicating with each other and that he had discovered how to reverse that. He had tested it on 2 year old mice that had reverted back to the physical statures of 6 month old mice and compared that to a 60 year old person reverting back to a 25 year old. (I wonder if he tested it on Brady 🙂 ). Again have not heard anything on it since and it's been a few years now.

Each of these are basically quantum leaps in that if they are all true, would launch our civilization into another phase of life. This cure for cancer (and immunization) will most likely lead to a cure for nearly every other malady that plagues mankind. Unlocking the q-bit will push us into a technological world that would make the technologies in scifi movies look like old hat. And of course reversing aging is self explanatory. Pretty exciting and eye opening advances but I would continue to maintain are testament of a higher power being involved. For those that argue there is no God, then explain how evolution could have us learn to write and making the color purple to discovering the things listed above. Evolution requires millions of years just to go from walking with a stoop to walking upright.

One last interesting thing, while I was in the MTC, as many new "Elders" do, I was sitting around with some other missionaries and people were talking about different doctrines including prophecies. One of the Elder's mentioned that one of the early Prophets (I think he said Joseph Smith) had prophesied that in the last days we would be holding Sacrament at home. I had pondered what it would take and how that would be over the last few decades. Never imagined it could be through a "pandemic". This gospel continues to prove true.
