The idea that Whit fired Holliday b/c he’s black is ridiculous and embarrassing
for his son to make.
And anyone who has been around football coaching knows that it’s an absolutely cutthroat profession and that assistants get fired all the time for no good reason other than because the HC is trying to take heat off himself or make a statement to fans or players.
That said, this is exactly the risk you run when you keep Scalley on staff after his incident, even though Scalley is by all accounts a phenomenal coach. You set yourself up for this exact complaint.
