Yes Oldroyd was the back up punter last year but as stated doesn’t want to punt at all. He wants to focus on place kicking. Peterman hasn’t even kicked in a live setting with the team. A lot kickers look good kicking off a stick and not the snap, hold, kick. Justen Smith will be the back-up this year with both punting and kicking.
