Referring to my supervisors/managers as “leadership” kind of bugs me because
often they are terrible leaders and don’t deserve the word to be used in conjunction with their name simply because of the title they hold.

Leadership is a skill set that gets developed over a lifetime due to hard work, humility and credibility, not something that is bestowed upon you magically because you got hired for a specific position.

But I certainly understand what you’re saying and there are more useful things to discuss in a leadership seminar than semantics.
