I saw plenty of escapability and pocket mobility out of Romney. But it is fair to say that I did not see a lot of running or rushing from the QB position - i.e. if asked to do a read option he was more likely to use his running backs than keep it himself and if he did keep it himself it was often just a short pickup which is all that is usually needed in that situation.

I also saw some using of the pocket by Romney that has rarely been seen around BYU since Ty Detmer was back there escaping mayhem. He was certainly elusive utilizing the pocket and planned/unplanned roll outs. He just kept much of his efforts behind the line of scrimmage and used the other 10 guys on the field almost exclusively...
