First and foremost he protected the football as a backup making his first start, which was critical. He made good quick decisions and got the ball out of his hands. BYU's Offense is undoubtedly in safe hands if Baylor wins the job. That being said, he threw for 221 yards against Boise State with his 2 TDs on trick plays accounting for 66 of those yards. That isn't necessarily sustainable offense. It was a great win and Baylor also looked good in the games against USF & Utah State, but the Boise State game is far from a Trump card in the current competition.
