Our response to COVID was centered around H1N1 and other flu variants
It turns out the measures that have been put into place are extremely effective at preventing those diseases--not so much at preventing the spread of COVID.

Little to do with masks, more to do with social distancing and better sanitation practices IMO. Also, Covid has burned
