POLL: Changing onside kick to 4th and 15 option:

The #Eagles are again proposing an onside kick alternative that would give teams the chance to maintain possession with a 4th-and-15 play, per @MarkMaske. That proposal has had growing support in recent years and it was a 16-16 vote last year. It takes 24 votes to pass.

4th and 15 is almost too easy- 4th and 20 almost too hard

My guess is that 4th and 20 works more often than onside kicks.

In BYU's experience the 4th down difference between too hard and too easy is 4th & 19. Two of BYU's biggest 4th down

It was nearly 21% before they changed the rules for safety. It fell to 6% and then bounced to 12% in 2019.
