Farm to Table Angus Beef!
Long time CB guy, but first time poster for an actual business opportunity. My HCBW's dad started a farm to table cattle business and she is managing the office for him. Right now it's just for the Wasatch Front area, but will hopefully offer frozen shipping soon. My wife's dad is a really good guy and has raised her and her 5 brothers on the ranch. Here is a little blurb about him and the business:
Scott grew up raising cattle. In fact, his Grandpa was an immigrant from Switzerland who helped settle the Bear Lake Valley and was one of the first to raise cattle there. Scott, grew up learning from his Grandpa and Dad the ins and outs of raising beef and It’s always been his dream to own his own ranch.
Scott found himself immersed in Corporate America with his career, but always kept his passion—ranching-- on the side as a hobby. He and his wife raised 5 sons and 1 daughter on the ranch--the best way to teach kids responsibility and the benefits of hard work. All 6 kids graduated from Davis High School and have gone on to become successful in their careers and lives.
In the past, because ranching was just a side hobby, the calves would be sold off to meat suppliers and distributors. But recently, we have all have experienced what can happen to disrupted supply chains ( ie Covid, Uri in Texas.) The shortage was not due to a lack of beef supply. The issue was an inability to process/ transport to consumers. With HIRSCHI HIGH COUNTRY BEEF, this issue is solved as we eliminate the middle man and provide beef directly to consumers.
The SWH Ranch raises grass fed Angus beef in the mountains of Southeast Idaho in the summer and along the Great Salt Lake in the winter.
We are presently reserving whole or half beef that will be ready in early summer. In the future, and as we grow our business, we hope to be able to provide “on demand” meat options for monthly delivery.
