Slim Intervention Needed
I don’t take care of dogs with sepsis but I take care of people with sepsis every day. People almost always get better
if antibiotics are started promptly, enough fluids are given in time, and shock is treated if it develops.

In the case of your dog I would be most concerned about WHY a lodged bone caused sepsis. Sepsis is caused by infection and bones don’t cause infection nor due uncomplicated bowel blockages. If it is because it caused a perforation then I would say the prognosis is extremely poor.
