My niece- 4.0 GPA, 31 ACT, class president, valedictorian, seminary council
Not from Utah and at a fairly large school.
She didn't get in. Yet several other girls from her school did including one with a 26 ACT and of course none of them had her extracurriculars.
In fact I know several with act in the 26-28 range that got in who also had few extracurriculars.
It's a crap shoot. Frankly it makes no sense.
I will say that I've never heard of anyone with a 32+ ACT not get in.
