It's true. We just bought a new Odyssey and, while we skipped the extended
warranty offered by the dear at the time of sale (which wasn't even a genuine Honda factory SMH), I ended up purchasing a genuine Honda extended warranty from another dealer online. So many electronic modules that can go bad and, while I'm a decent driveway mechanic, I really don't want to mess with that kind of stuff anymore. We plan to keep the car for a long time, and the warranty is transferable, so we did 8 year/120k mi. for $1,300. In comparison our dealer wanted like $3,500 for the non-Honda warranty.
