Some fun facts... The Acceptance rate is higher for women (70% vs 64% for men)
However.. 83% of the men accepted end up enrolling vs. only 79% of the women.

2019/2020 numbers:
Applicants: 4,599 Male / 5,901 Female
Admitted: 2,928 Male / 4,158 Female
Enrolled: 2,429 Male / 3,302 Female

BYU tries to hold a 50/50 enrolment ratio, so whatever HAL9000 AI system they use for acceptance has to adapt over time.

At the end of the day... kids get rejected, and parents try to figure out why.

About 5 years ago it was harder for a white female from Utah to get accepted based on the number of applicants (only ~30% of students are from Utah, and they seem to hold to that number).
