Anyone know if one can put a lein on a contractor in Utah?
I’m concerned that a contractor skipped town on me and took my deposit.
Looking online it looks like there are laws to protect the contractor but I haven’t seen anything that walks through the process for the consumer.

If licensed, contact the department over licensing. Should be a bond on file.

You can't. You have to sue and get a judgement. Report to DOPL.
