the pleasure and benefit of being referred to as “natives” because frankly very few of them are. Most are from Asia or other Polynesian islands but have the audacity to tell others to stay away.

The marketing of the “aloha spirit” is smart and good business but there are a staggering number of examples of how it’s unfortunately just not true for a large enough percentage of the states residents. Many of the white families have their kids in private schools due to the bullying and physical abuse they would endure at public schools. There’s a lot of hostility over there.
