When Zach and the new regime in NY turn the hot mess that is the Jets around, how cool will it be for it to be a BYU QB that does it? If he went to the 49ers he’d always live in the shadow of Joe Montana and Steve Young. Even if he got a ring in SF it wouldn’t be nearly the achievement as doing it with the Jets will be.

The timing is also not horrible. Post-Brady New England is as bad as they’ve been in a long time and the Dolphins aren’t any better right now. Yes, Buffalo is going to be formidable with Josh Allen for some time, but how long can the Bills organization really be expected to maintain a top-level team in Buffalo? The AFC North has some good, young talent in Mayfield and Burrow, but if Joe Douglas can make some hay with the draft capital they have over these next two years, New York (OK, New Jersey) could make themselves competitive within three years. The road through the AFC will ultimately run through Kansas City for the foreseeable future, but the rest of the conference isn’t as intimidating as it was with the Patriots the last decade +.

So I say bring on the green and white!
