Of his body weight, which screwed up his mechanics, velocity, well...just about everything. He put almost all the weight back on and we've been working him out to prepare to safely throw this spring.
Today was the beginning of the season and he cruised 65 mph for most of the game, hit 68 mph once, and I told his coaches to pull him when he hit 50 pitches and his velo dropped to 62. 55% strikes, which is just a little under where I think it should be.
So, he has gotten back to where he was last summer as a 12 year-old. Gonna keep working on building his muscles back to where they should be.
I think he hits 80 mph and cruises at 75 as a frosh in 2 years. Hasn't hit puberty, yet.
