Whenever I go grocery shopping with my wife, she'll pick something up and ask "do you want this?"

After about the 10th time, I just want to say "Pretend I'm not here. If you would get it without asking me if I want it, then put it in the cart. Otherwise, put it back on the shelf."

Confession: It's actually after the 0th time, because she does it so frequently that it bugs me even before she says it. Also, notice I said that I "want" to say. I don't actually say it any more. I tried that once, and got the death stare and was in trouble for several days.


So now whenever we enter a store, I'll say "what are some things I can get from your list?" and she'll give me some items and I'll go find them. Then I'll find her and put them in the cart and ask for some more things from the list.
