I left my license in a rental car once. I was still able to board after TSA
performed a few extra procedures, such as completion of a form and a question/answer session with TSA in DC . A couple of take-aways:
1. People boarding planes without ID's is A LOT more common than I am comfortable with; and
2. The TSA knows more about my personal life than I am comfortable with.
