I grew up in Utah and I have never been to Lake Powell. My wife used to go all the time, especially when she was in college. She talks about it as if it is the greatest place on earth. After reading this thread, it sounds like the amount of preparation and work I would have to put in to make it an enjoyable experience for my family would be substantial. Especially given the fact that I don’t have any experience and I don’t have a boat, house, or toys. Maybe that one is a big skip on the bucket list.
