Robotic prosthetics will allow handicapped people play sports at all levels.
Is Zack Wilson’s surgically repaired shoulder his throwing shoulder? His amazing throwing ability with his possibly repaired throwing shoulder got me thinking about what will be possible for children with birth or other defects involving missing limbs. I think in my lifetime, people with missing limbs will be able to play sports at all levels of competition. There will be controversy as the technology advances to the point where those with these robotic prosthetics will be able to exceed human capability. Run faster, throw harder, jump higher, etc. Judgements will need to be made on what allows a person to be accommodated to play a sport and when it crosses the line of fair competition.
